EXTERIOR CLEANING FOR WILLIAMSBURG AND NEARBY CITIES
A dirty driveway is rarely just dirt. Most of what you see is organic growth that has taken root inside the surface, and the Williamsburg humidity only brings it back faster. At Safari Softwash, we power wash the concrete, then treat it with a solution that kills the organic growth at its root. We rinse that off before we leave. Call us at (757) 793-1951, and we’ll get your driveway looking amazing!
Whatever your driveway is made of, we run the same four steps: a pressure pass, a rinse, a treatment, and a final rinse-off.

Exposed aggregate and river rock are the most common driveway surfaces around here. It is not the flat or broom-finished concrete you see in a lot of other places. All that texture is exactly where the growth takes hold, so it takes a genuine pressure pass to clean it. Soft washing alone won’t always do it.

Poured concrete goes through the same sequence and comes up clean with no special handling.

We handle broom-finished concrete the same way. No extra work, same result.

Pavers get the same pressure pass, treatment, and rinse-off as the rest of the driveway.

Stone cleans up in the same sequence, start to finish.
Here is the honest version, before you book. Our cleaning removes built-up grime and growth that has settled into the surface. Oil, paints, gum, tire shine, rust and other non organic staining is a different story. The solution we use contains a mild, water-based degreaser, and it will lighten an oil stain, but it won’t remove it. Deep-set staining is outside what this service does. That is why every estimate we send carries a written note. It spells out what the cleaning will and won’t remove, so you know before we start, not after.
Two things separate our driveway cleaning from a quick once-over.

A pressure pass lifts the grime you can see, but the growth rooted into the surface survives it. So we follow the wash with a treatment that soaks in and kills the root system. That root kill is what makes the clean last, especially on exposed aggregate and river rock where growth hides in the texture.

When the treatment has done its job, we rinse every bit of it off before we leave. We never let it sit on the surface to save ourselves time. Pets and their people walk on these driveways, and we won’t leave chemicals down for them to walk in.
Reach us by phone, text, email, or the form on the website. For most driveways, we measure from satellite imagery and city assessor records, which gives us a reliable picture without an appointment. Anything we can’t size up that way gets a visit, and we will come out in person any time you ask. Then the proposal lands in your inbox with options. We itemize every service your property could use, so you pick what you want and skip the rest.
Once you pick your services, we put the job on the calendar. You get an email reminder about 24 hours ahead and a text the day before or the morning of. That way the date never sneaks up on you.
This is where the power washers come out. We run them across the driveway to lift the heavy soiling and loosen the growth.
Then we rinse the whole surface down and carry the loosened soiling off it.
With the surface clean, we apply the chemical treatment at working strength so it penetrates and reaches the roots. The mix leads with sodium hypochlorite, which you may know as bleach, plus an organic-targeted soap and a water-based degreaser. We apply it with our soft wash system so the solution spreads evenly across the surface.
Before we pack up, we rinse the treatment completely off the surface. We do not leave the property until it is gone.
No deposit and nothing to pay up front. You settle the bill once the work is finished and you have seen the result. If anything looks off, call us, and we will come back. About a year later, near the anniversary of the cleaning, we give you one phone call to see how the driveway is holding up. That is a person checking in, not an automated text stream.
The price depends on the scope of the job. We confirm the final figure at the estimate, before anything is booked, so you know what it costs before you commit.
Most driveways take about an hour, and larger or harder-to-reach surfaces take longer. The time depends on the area we are cleaning how dirty the surface is and how easy it is to access. We give you a clear sense of it when we send the estimate.
Yes. Driveways come first, but we also clean walkways, sidewalks, patios, pool decks, and curbs. They get the same pressure pass, treatment, and rinse-off as the driveway. Each one can go on the same options menu at your estimate, so you add only what you want.
Getting a quote is easy and costs nothing. We measure most driveways remotely, so you usually don’t need an appointment and won’t have to wait around for someone to show up. If you are a Williamsburg homeowner with a driveway that’s seen better days, give us a call. Call us at (757) 793-1951, and the crew at Safari Softwash will put together a free quote.
