EXTERIOR CLEANING FOR WILLIAMSBURG AND NEARBY CITIES
The damp air around Diascund Creek and the Chickahominy River gives algae and mildew plenty of opportunity to grow on homes throughout Providence Forge. In wooded areas like Brickshire, shade can keep siding, decks, driveways, and walkways damp even longer. Here at Safari SoftWash, we clean homes and community properties around town. Whether you’re in Brickshire, down by the creek, or out on Route 60, call us at (757) 793-1951, and we’ll come take a look.
We clean both Providence Forge homes and larger community properties. We soft wash the delicate surfaces, siding, roofs, decks, fences, and whole buildings, and keep pressure washing for hard flatwork like driveways and walkways.
Providence Forge homes run the whole range. You’ll see vinyl siding with brick accents on the newer Brickshire houses and wood siding on the larger waterfront places. Older Route 60 homes tend to be metal siding or hardie board, usually over poured concrete drives and walks.
How often a house needs this depends on the shade and moisture around it. Waterfront homes and shaded lots need it sooner than open, sunny ones.
On the commercial side, we handle whole properties, such as HOA common areas, community clubhouses and amenity buildings, golf-course-adjacent concrete flatwork, and conference or office buildings.
On commercial jobs, we open with the property’s budget so we can build the scope to fit it. We get water from a fire hydrant tie-in under our annual agreement with the water department. For medical buildings and banks, we can also schedule weekend daytime work by arrangement.
On straight-wall buildings, our reach runs to 55 to 60 feet from the ground. Anything taller, we talk through before we quote. The same goes for any job that requires us to work off the structure instead of from the ground.
Here’s what our customers tend to notice, in the method itself and in the way we deal with people.

We’re a soft washing company, not a power washing company, and in Providence Forge that choice shows up on your siding. Soft washing means low pressure and high volume: a cleaning solution kills the organic growth, then a gentle rinse carries it off. Plenty of outfits will promise a soft wash and then open up on the house at 3,000 PSI. That kind of pressure can etch or gouge siding and drive water in behind it. The growth comes back anyway, because only the solution kills it.

We don’t throw tarps over your shrubs, and that’s deliberate. A tarp over a shrub on a hot day turns into a greenhouse and cooks it. The shrub drops its leaves, and people blame the cleaning solution. So we work the Three Ds instead. We Divert the runoff where we want it to go, and we Dilute everything with water. On Decontaminate, we stay honest: over the years we’ve never found a product that truly neutralizes sodium hypochlorite. That’s why our work goes on diverting and diluting.

Large properties are where we’re most at home. HOA neighborhoods, apartment complexes, and retirement communities get a written schedule showing which buildings we’re cleaning each day. We hang the resident notices ourselves a day ahead, so it’s one less thing for the property office to handle. We also time the work around the community’s routine, so nobody’s afternoon at the pool gets ruined. If we can’t get into a unit, we leave a door hanger asking the resident to call us directly.

We won’t tie you into a contract or a monthly subscription, and we won’t bury you in texts and voicemails. Once you’re a customer, we call you once a year, near the anniversary of your service, to see how things are holding up. It’s a person on the phone, not an automated system firing off reminders. You decide when the next cleaning happens, not a calendar you signed up for. If you need us, good. If you don’t, that’s fine too.
Reach us by phone, text, email, or the form on the website. For most homes, we can measure remotely from satellite imagery and county assessor records, so no appointment is needed. Where we can’t see enough, we come out and fly a drone over the roof and gutters. You get an itemized options menu by email and pick what you want. Once it’s booked, we send an email reminder about 24 hours ahead, plus a text the day before or the day of.
Before we mix any solution, we tape off the outlets and the doorbell camera, check that the windows are closed, and clear the work area.
If the house has been painted or the deck stained in the last 30 days, we wait. Paint needs that time to cure and bond before anything touches it. We also test the paint first. Some pigments carry a synthetic magenta dye that can shift color the moment a cleaning solution touches it. More manufacturers are using it than most homeowners would guess.
We water down the plants around the house before any solution goes on.
The cleaning agent is sodium hypochlorite, the same thing you’d call bleach, cut with biodegradable, low-VOC surfactants. It goes on at low pressure, and the strength depends on the siding material and how dirty the wall is. Only the concentration changes from house to house; the pressure never does. The heaviest growth sits on the lower walls by the creek and river, and on the siding shaded by Brickshire’s trees, so we mix for that.
We let the solution kill the growth on the surface, then rinse it off with a gentle, low-pressure rinse. No high pressure touches the house at any point.
Finally, we rinse the plants and surrounding landscaping thoroughly so nothing is left sitting on them.
The whole job runs on soft wash systems, and we use battery-powered equipment in place of gas where we can. We apply the solution in line with EPA guidelines.
Most of our work carries a $300 minimum, which is simply what it takes to get a truck and a crew to your property. Gutter cleaning starts lower, and every quote is free.

Here’s what we stand behind on your job, and the one thing we won’t pretend to promise.
We back our work with a 100% satisfaction guarantee. If something isn’t right, call us and we’ll get a team back out to your property as soon as we can and put it right.
We don’t offer cleaning warranties, and we’ll tell you why. With the tree cover and humidity in this area, organic growth comes back; a roof cleaning generally holds three to five years, and siding depends entirely on what’s growing around it. Companies selling you a multi-year no-growth guarantee are writing a check the weather will cash. Instead, we’ll call you once a year to check how things are holding up.
When we clean your gutters, we guarantee the water flows to ground level. We flush the system with water rather than blowing it out, so if there’s a blockage, we find it instead of leaving it for you to discover in the next storm. For anything underground, we show you and refer you to a plumber.
Providence Forge packs a lot into a small footprint: a newer golf community, creek and river frontage, and older acreage spread out along Route 60. We spend our days working across all of it, and we know the back roads and the neighborhoods as well as anyone. If you give directions around here by the places everyone knows, these will sound familiar:
If you’d like a free estimate, call us at (757) 793-1951. There’s no pressure and no sales script, and text or email works just as well if that’s easier for you. Whether your house sits in Brickshire or out on Route 60, we’re glad to come take a look and tell you what we’d do.
